Moulin rouge – Wind Up

Location: Paris

Client: Private

Year: 2026

Wind Up proposes an architectural transformation of the Moulin Rouge in Paris, bringing together a reimagined façade and interiors for performance, rehearsal, exhibitions and hospitality. The proposal connects these spaces through flowing circulation, curved galleries and a shared visual language.

Red and white façade panels evoke the folds and movement of the dancers’ skirts, arranged through a continuous triangulation system. Their sweeping forms frame glazed openings and extend the theatrical character into the building. Inside, red upholstery, warm metallic finishes and integrated lighting create continuity between the intimate performance spaces and the open public areas.
